The NFSC dietetic interns graduated on June 21, 2019 at the UMD golf course club house. Dr. Joseph Sullivan, acting/interim department chair, welcomed approximately 50 attendees and told of the deep history of agriculture and nutrition at the University of Maryland. The interns selected Guy Kilpatric, the UMD TerpFarm Manager, as their guest speaker. The graduates received their certificates from Dr. David Lei (faculty, internship advsiory committee member), Phyllis McShane (internship director) and Laura Anderson Wright (UMD general counsel, internship advisory committee member). The graduates are now eligible to sit for the national registration examination (RD exam) and enter the workforce. We wish them all the best as they move on to the next phase of their careers.
