The Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) annual meeting was held on December 2-6, 2018, at New Orleans, Louisiana. Three Nutrition and Food Science Ph.D. students, (1) Ruth Oni, (2) Shraddha Karanth, and (3) Surabhi Rani attended the meeting and presented posters on their research findings. Shraddha and Surabhi received student travel awards to attend and present their research and both gave oral presentations in addition to posters. Shraddha received the SRA 2018 student merit award from the Microbial Risk Analysis Specialty Group. Dr. Abani Pradhan is serving as the advisor of both Shraddha Karanth and Surabhi Rani.
