Admission Requirements
Offers of admission (or rejection) are made by the Graduate School based upon the recommendation of the Director of the Graduate Program in Nutrition and the Graduate Admissions Committee. For more information on the application process and admissions, visit the Graduate Admissions Office.
- Applicants must take the Aptitude Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE-General Test) must be taken by all applicants. Minimum GRE scores of 500 each on the Verbal and Quantitative sections, as well as a 3.5-5.0 on the Analytical Writing section are required.
- Students applying to the Graduate Program in Nutrition are expected to have an interest in nutrition and an aptitude for chemistry and biology.
- Applicants must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicants must sumbit three letters of recommendation.
- Applicants must provide a statement of objectives and professional experience.
- International students must have a minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 575. International applicants must also submit documentation of adequate financial support for their studies.
- An additional requirement for admission is identification of a research advisor prepared to accept the applicant as an advisee.
